April
April in the mountains of Colorado is a magical time. The weather starts to warm up, and you can almost feel the promise of summer in the air. But don’t be fooled—winter isn’t quite ready to let go. We still get those cold powder days that remind you why you love it here, with fresh snow perfect for one last run down the slopes.
As the days get longer and the temperatures climb, the snow begins to melt, feeding into the rivers. It’s amazing to watch the transformation. One day, you’re carving through snow, and the next, you’re getting your kayak ready. The melting snow makes the rivers swell, perfect for boating. There’s something really special about this time of year—the blend of winter’s last stand and the hint of summer adventure just around the corner. It’s like you’re living in two seasons at once, and you get to enjoy the best of both.
