Leadville Skijoring
Once a year semi trucks full of snow dump a heavy layer of snow that covers the Main Street of the highest city in the U.S., Leadville Colorado (10,200ft). The snow is groomed to form a 800ft straight track that includes multi size jumps. Riders are pulled behind horses at speeds that reach 35mph. While the riders are getting ice pucks flung at there faces from the horses hoofs they slalom between gates, hit jumps and attempt to collect hanging rings on one arm.
Its a race, quickest time wins. Time penalties apply for missed rings and gates.
It's pretty flipping wild. Also the town its self has a real old west vibe. Love it.
