My first stop of my 2 month tour of Europe was Lofoen, Norway. My first trip overseas.
The gear
I landed at the airport and was expecting to have to walk a good while to my pick up my rental car/sleeper, but lucky me Artic Campers had sent the driver to the airport with the vehicle. The lady of the company explained the deal with the car and signed it over to me. She had to leave soon to catch a bus so I offered to drive her. This was perfect for me because along the way she gave me the low down on where the grocery stores were located and where I could snack and find free WiFi.
The first day was spent aimlessly driving around and exploring the lands. I quickly found out that the islands are a major fishing hub for Cod. The fish farmers would split the fish in half then hang them to dry. The fish heads are hung separately and would be used for soup. For some reason the ravens would bother/eat the hanging fish.
With no real agenda. I just drove and hiked up mountains. It was beautiful.
